I can hardly believe that summer is right around the corner. I looked at my calendar today and realized May is nearly over – which means, Memorial day is practically here. This year, my brother and his boys are headed to the big T-X for a visit and I am stoked. As I think about our time together, there are a few things I’m dreaming about – including those ewe, gooey, chocolate chip cookies from Goldie’s kitchen! I will absolutely be duplicating the recipe for my sweet family. Beyond that, sun, sand and fantastic memories lay-ahead!

Thinking on what to wear, I’ll likely be in a one-piece most of the weekend – have you seen our swimwear write-ups? Outside of the water, we’re recommending linens, cottons and breathable fabrics. I personally plan to dress in a simple frock that flows, perfect for pictures and eating as much barbecue as I can handle. When thinking about your Memorial day outfit, consider adding red, white or blue as a pop in an accessory or as a main-stay. Full-face coverage is a personal “do” and simply step into the weekend to enjoy rest and relaxation with the ones you love, while we remember the lives lost for our American freedom, it’s sweet to be able to cherish the lives we have around us.
